Halloween Fun

Our family loves Halloween and I love to make our home feel like the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. Here are my 3 hitch hiking ghosts, Phineas, Ezra and Moe, that I got on disney.com a few years ago. I also play the ride's soundtrack while I am on the porch.
Here is my hubby helping Sheridan carve her dragon Pumpkin.
Here I am as a ghost in our graveyard on our front lawn. I am dressed in a white dress and I have 10 yards of white irridecent tulle attached to a white cape. I walk around on our front porch with a black light on me and I pass out candy. It's so funny when people don't believe I am real and ask to touch me to see if I am. Here is a video of me in action down below.

Sheridan was a Madagascar Penguin (Private) and Chasen was a scary clown. Our left over candy will be donated to Operation Gratitude and sent to the troops. Local dentist also donate $1 to your school's PTA for every pound that is donated.
Here is my video that my 16 year old shot...

  3. I was inspired by the MS costume I saw for $150 in a catalog. I put this one together for about $40. I bought a cheap costume with a white polyester dress and a white poly cape. I cut the tulle in long strips and attached it to the cape so the tulle looked like a hood as well. I wore cream white make up from WalMart and some sparkle powder. The black light is a bar style and I just laid it on an empty plant stand facing me. I danced and moved to the Haunted Mansion ride soundtrack and pretended like I was a young girl looking for her fiance, Phillip. The teen boys really get in to the story line. I did this last year and it was such a hit, I did it again. I think I have a new tradition.

  5. Oh I love it! I am going to do this next year too. Super idea and I always love to scare kids so this will work. I'm going to do the whole lawn a grave yard and have different "ghost" floating around then I'll come to life when they walk up. LOL
