Spring Hike

I was born and raised in Southern California. I'm spoiled. I have never had to dig a car out of snow nor do I own an ice scraper. I can plant flowers in February and not wear a jacket or sweatshirt when I go for a hike in our local mountains.

This is my friend, Jen. She is the fabulous photographer that took the photos of my Mary Poppins party. We have hiked up this mountain (over 2 miles) 3 times this week.
This is what we get to look at when we climb. We are spoiled.

The California poppies are in bloom. The lupines are just starting to bloom. Rain clouds threaten but don't dare shed a drop on us.

I can't wait for my hike tomorrow morning!

  2. This born and raised in PA girl is soooooo jealous..as I sit here on this dreary Tuesday looking at a wintry mix falling on the 2ft of snow outside of my window. If only my entire family didn't live in PA, I would be heading south tomorrow!:-)

  5. I was spoiled when I lived in south Florida, too. Your views are beautiful.

I am just back to work this week. It had been so long since I felt like visiting anyone, and I really missed everyone very much.
