Pink Saturday

Another Pink Saturday hosted by How Sweet the Sound. I'm so honored to be a part of it!
On to the pictures...This is my chandelier in my dining room. I bought both the chandelier and the shades from the Rose Bowl Swap Meet. The chandelier was brass to begin with and I painted it white and made the white raw silk chain cover.
This is a crown I give to my birthday girl's for my Princess parties. It's always a big hit. The guests always want one and I tell them they are only for the birthday girl. I seem to book a lot of parties that way!
This is a pitcher that matches my Great-Granmother's china. I only have the one plate from her. It is a Haviland pattern and I wish I knew the name of it. Does anyone know? I think it has Dogwood Blossoms on it.
This is me giving a facial demonstration for one of my Spa Girlz parties. (it's my most popular!) All of the decor is pink for this party...the robes, flowers, tablecloth, lip gloss kit and custom lotion come in pink! The mirrors even have pink marabou around them!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lovely party ideas!!! I like the Bollywood idea for girls - such fun that would be!

My mom has some of that Haviland china - it's wild roses, I think.

Your spa party would be a big hit with any age group---I could always use a crown, too! I love you granmother's pitcher--you are so lucky to have it. I also enjoyed your laptop lunch post--good for you in promoting healthier lunches for the kids and our planet! As a former sp. services teacher, I had my fair share of lunchroom duty. I can support your claim about the gigantic amount of waste that is generated in that spot! Way to go for stepping up to that issue. Dana PS Thanks for your funny comment on The Stone Rabbit. ;-)

Oh wow! Love the pink party!!! I don't the flowers are dogwoods. Dogwoods only have four petals. Maybe apple blossoms?

You know...I just clicked on the pitcher to make it bigger. I think those are wild roses. :)

What a small world! Do your parents still live near Strawberry Hill? I haven't been there, but since our Kobe House is closing---I guess I will travel there at some point. We live near Sugar Creek, MO, which is very heavy with Croatian heritage, too (Where the Kobe family came from)--my dear friend gathers with her MIL and SIL every year and makes povitica(sp?) with them to give as Christmas gifts. One year, she (my friend) and I made them at her house. Whoa--what work that is--but so great when the finished product is such a delicious treat! I just might have to do a post on them making their Povitica this year. Dana
