Are you ready?

Tomorrow is October 1st and Halloween season officially begins! Yes, I know that Halloween candy has been in the stores for the last 4 weeks but now, it's official!

There are so many fabulous things out there to make a parent look really talented and creative. Have you seen how many amazing printable party supplies that are out there? A talented graphic designer creates these beautiful things for your to print and cut at HOME! That is just too easy!

This beautiful collection is from Pen and Paper Flowers and you can get her whole collection for just $7. What great ideas she has on how to use them! I will be using another collection to make my neighborhood "BOO" packages that I will be delivering on, that's right, October 1st!

Halloween Wreath

Halloween is my favorite holiday! I don't think it's ever too early to decorate. I started decorating my porch last weekend and a neighbor teen thought it was weird to put decor out so early.
The frame, orange throw and polka dot pillow is from IKEA. The glittered skeleton is from the Dollar Tree.

My inspiration for my new wreaths came from a post on Tatertots and Jello. I decided to put my own twist on it and used a 3rd color, a polka dot ribbon and added spiders.

At first I was intimidated by making the flowers but they were quite easy. I just ripped strips of fabric, tied a knot in one end and started rolling and twisting the fabric and then hot glue them in place. I made a lot more so I can make a coordinating pillow for the bench. The Dollar Tree didn't have the bigger size foam wreath form, so I got these at JoAnn's. I used broadcloth that I bought at Beverly's and the furry spiders are from Pier 1. There is still more decorating to do but this is a good start.
How do you decorate your front porch?

I'm a Gleek!

I am SO excited about the season premiere of GLEE tonight! I was a little late jumping on the bandwagon, but I am a super fan now! I even found another super fan in Blogland...Dana from the Stone Rabbit!
This summer, we wrote to each other and decided to get matching "Gleek" shirts. She was on the ball and took a picture of hers while I wait to the last minute (and everyone left for the day) before I could snap a picture. Hope you will join Dana and I in watching Glee tonight. I just can't wait to hear what Sue Sylvester has to say since she has had all summer to think.

Glam Halloween

I LOVE the new collection from TomKat Studio! I think this would be perfect for a teen or adult witches tea.
She offers so many adorable items that you can print at home to have an amazing party!

She said her inspiration was the purple glitter trees and plaque she found at Home Goods.

Simply gorgeous! I think it's time for me to plan another Witches Tea for my girlfriends!
See more amazing pictures here and learn where to purchase the printables.

Candy Rainbows

I had the pleasure of helping out a wonderful repeat client. Last year, I hosted her youngest daughter's Tinkerbell party and a Breakfast at Tiffany's party for her friend's 40th birthday.
This year she decided to combined both of her daughter's birthday by having a Rainbow party complete with a magic and balloon making pink fairy, a face painter and a candy and favor buffet. I made the "Happy Birthday" banner and the backdrop was foam board covered in fabric from IKEA. I also made the tissue poms over the table and white "cloud" poms surrounding the table.

I was in chrage of the table centerpieces and the decor for the candy/favor buffet table. I used a 2" circle punch to make the giant confetti. Pictures of the sisters were also placed around the table.

I used the TomKat Studios tags to ID the goodies. Each guest received a bag to fill and boy, did they ever!

It was like a feeding frenzy! I have never seen anything like it!
See more pictures here.
Thanks to Sahara and her family for allowing me to share in their special day.
